Mostly discussions and talks this week. S5 to draft and finish argumentative essays for Friday assessment. S2 will start Poetry Unit for the last two weeks of term.

I will be adding lots of resources for S5 and S4 this weekend so check your pages

S4: remember you are in A4 on Monday as I will be running the P7 Transition event in the Hall. Finish your CELs for ‘Silver’ and we’ll redraft on Tuesday when I see you next.

S5: Topics for argumentative essay! Get thinking  and we’ll discuss on Tuesday.

Welcome to S5A5 who start on Tuesday. Check your page for info as and when we look at parts of the three units you have to cover during your Intermediate 1/2 course.

We are starting the various writing units for S2 and S3 this week: S4 to concentrate on critical evaluation of ‘The Pearl’ a parable by John Steinbeck.

Timetable change! Welcome new S2 and S3! S4 - don’t I know you?

Programme for next week is sorting out the Base Teams, folios and administration matters before we start a whole new programme.  Homework will be posted on your relevant pages starting Monday.

Enjoy your activity days. Landmark today was fun and everyone was so well behaved and polite that teachers were fainting all over the place! Well done! S2.3 and S2.7 will lose most of the members on Thursday as they have to go to the Hall at 1330hrs for a Scottish Survey of Achievement writing test. This is used to survey thousands of S2 students to make sure that Scotland is keeping up to the levels that she needs to. I’m away tomorrow after the cinema activity to collect my new updated super duper hearing aids to replace the old ones so come Thursday I will have the eyes of a very old bat, the hair of a grey wolf and the ears of a young hawk! See you then!

Only three days in School this week due to INSET Days on Thursday and Friday. I am also away on Critical Skills Training Wednesday so you will have alternative teachers looking after you that day. Enjoy the change of face at the seat of power! Activity Days next week for three days and then it’s timetable change.
